What are your thoughts and feelings after the service-learning meeting?
Lianne Faith C. Antonio.
After the activity, I felt relieved because at last, we’re already done. At the same time, I was happy and fulfilled because at least in my own way, I was able to share my fellow students the learnings I got from the class and even my related experiences that may help them understand drug addiction better.

I just find some ways to alleviate my nervousness and all my doubts about the lack in our preparation. Our group also did our best so that the whole class would surely enjoy and participate in our activity. I realized that I am doing this not just for the sake of complying to the school requirements but also to help the students to be more aware about the effects of drugs on the human brain.

After the service learning activities that I’ve been through, I was able to help people learn even just in my simple ways. Also, the thoughts and feelings that I had about the service learning activities inspired me to be more helpful to my community. Lastly, I have encouraged some people and even my self to be more aware of our society and on the ways on how we can make it a better place.

It was really nice knowing that the group’s discussion created a warm atmosphere. The students were able to be involved and showed interest in the discussion. Drugs for them is really pivotal that all of us should be aware of.

My thoughts gave me a new perspective towards myself and others. Because of that, I behave and listen in class more when my professor is discussing the lesson. I also value my friends more because I realized they helped me become the person my mom and dad would be proud of.

After the service learning, I was overwhelmed because I believe that, somehow, we achieved most of our objectives. I hope that they realized that drugs will not do anything good for them. Overall, I enjoyed the whole service learning. I also learned a lot from it.
What did you do about these thoughts and feelings?
Lianne Faith C. Antonio
After every service learning that I attend to, I gather my thoughts and feelings about the activity and I also try to reflect on what I have done and even the whole experiences that I encountered from it. With that, I am able to help not only other people but even myself. I feel that I become more responsible and concerned about the reality happening around me, hence, try to make a difference in my own little ways.

The students were willing to participate in propagating the harmful effects of drugs. They suggested ways on how to make the fight against drugs more effective. I can see that they know to themselves that they will not do such foolishness on taking harmful drugs.

The service learning activity was very helpful to the student learners and to our group as well. In just one activity, the student learners were able to pick up some knowledge regarding drugs from us, and that at the same time, our group was able to convey our little knowledge in a very meaningful way. Lastly, I can say that the activity was worth pursuing because of its good contribution to the lives of the students and also in our lives as well.

Service learning is a great way to critically analyze one's thinking and feeling. It is considerably an ideal approach towards applying what we learned from school to real life situation. Through our activity, we were able to grasp knowledge not only form the researches we have gathered, but also through the sharing we had; and that made this a really worthwhile experience!

I think that the service learning project was a success in helping us apply what we have learned in class and also learn in the process of it. Even without intentionally trying to learn anything from the activity, I gained important insights which changed my perspective towards myself and others. I think that the service learning is a great way to help the students learn even outside the four corners of the classroom.

I always have different thoughts and feelings every service learning that I do. I write all my thoughts and feelings on a piece of paper and reflect on it. I share it to my family and friends and with these, I also get feedback from them. We interact and we all learn from that experience.
